E.D. not the type u solve with the little blue pill

Bulimia is binge eating followed by purging through vomiting or laxatives. That does not sound like a woman i wanna date. And anorexia is when someone does not take in enough calories to be at a healthy weight. According to our text eating disorders "have the highest fatality rates of any mental illness" (Alfano pg274). Anorexia and bulimia are also highly O.C.D., so why allow these Pro-ana sites? We don't have a good reason to keep these sites up and running. These sites allow the women and men who use it to feel comfortable with this dangerous disorder. Rather than these people being comforted and feeling okay with their disorder they should be going to therapists to try and fix their problem before they die of mal-nourishment. In our text Clairegirl feels better about skipping meals because the other users the other users do the same thing and feel its okay. That is why i think we should close down these sites.

On the other side these pro-ana sites are helpful to these girls. These sites allow the girls to tell about their experiences of being anorexic. This allows them to see others in their own situation. These people with eating disorders have a very strong will. These girls hopefully will see how the other users of these pro ana sites have become so sick, that they will have the will to be normal and healthy once again.

These sites allows these girls to compete against each other to be the skinniest. They also allow girls to talk about their daily anorexic lives without being judged or told what they are doing is wrong. So i believe that if these sites can some how regulate users that are trying to convince other girls to become anorexic and or to have a couple of doctors for each site to try and council these poor girls.
